At Posthumuswinkel you can find the classic printing techniques as letter-press printing and blind pressure, which we apply to wedding stationery, family printing business cards and birth announcements with hand knotted bow tie.
In our shop we have books with examples of our high quality printing.
Bookprint is the most traditional way of printing. It involves a so called flat printing technique using a pressure plate on which the ink is applied.
LETTERPRESS (inward pressure)
Letterpress is the intaglio version of bookprint. the pressure plate is placed upon the card with vigour, leaving an imprinted relief. The design is palpable and leaves a tasteful elegance.
BLINDPRESSURE (upward pressure without colour)
Blind pressure is the opposite of letterpress. Using a printing plate and a contra, the result shows an embossed text, without colour. The design is matchless. Embossing on a card is usually combined with bookprint or letterpress.
